Semi Private Yoga class

I've been asked questions about the small semi-private group I am offering so here is some information about it.

A semi-private group is a small group created by one person. People can join the group by invitation only (not open to public). The time and place are the choice of the person who initiates the lesson. Usually a person wants to create a group with some friends and they decide together of a schedule.

Who: anybody can start a group. Once the group is started, any prospect needs an invitation to join.
A semi-private group goes from 2 people minimum to 5 maximum.
Rates: $20 per person for a 60 min lesson.
When and where: it's the group's choice.
What to bring: a mat if you have but I will always have some with me to borrow.

            Advantages:

      • Private atmosphere
      • Better meet of everyone schedule
      • Further personal attention
      • Specific goals and needs can be easily addressed
      • More hands-on adjustment.

Don't hesitate to call me (808)419-1725 to start your group or to check if one is available around you.

Aloha.

What is Yoga Therapy- Matthew J. Taylor

I wanted to share this great article from Matthew Taylor about what is Yoga Therapy.
Matthew J. Taylor, PT, PhD, E-RYT 500 is a Physical Therapist and international leader in Yoga Therapy. I got to know and use his method when working with Heather Culpepper, PT, RYT at her Wailea office.
Link to article: Yoga Therapy: It's for Every Body

"Stretching is a standard Yoga class may help, but it won't be nearly as effective as the full spectrum approach learned in Yoga therapy. Yoga therapy is far more than physical stretching."

February 2015 news

There has been some changes during this month of January so here is where I am at for February:

Special Offer
As an introduction to Yoga for Riders I am offering this special rate of $25 the private lesson!
The practice of yoga before riding will improve your riding experience as well as your relationship with your horse. I am very flexible on the time and can adapt to your schedule.

Weekly Class
I am working on a new schedule and place. Hopefully I will have something in place in the next weeks.
I am actually thinking of a class during the weekend, either way Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon. Will see. I will put an update on the website but feel free to call me too.

Aloha.

Intro

Yoga for Riders comes from my passion of both Yoga and horses. As an equine therapist (massage and herbs) I am very sensitive to the well being of horses. Any tension the rider carries will translate into the horse at both a physical and emotional level.
My goal through Yoga for Riders is to inspire people to treat their body and their horse with kindness and compassion.
